James Moss began his career in sales but always had a passion for real estate investment. What started as a hobby — acquiring rental properties and remodeling homes for resale — became a full-time venture. Isabel Moss began her entrepreneurial journey by launching a children’s clothing line in 2009. This venture ignited her passion for design, while real estate had always been in her background, influenced by her father’s work remodeling homes and managing rental properties. In 2014, Isabel and her father began renovating homes together, achieving success quickly.

In 2016, James and Isabel became a team. James transitioned into land acquisition and development, building spec homes in downtown Raleigh. His background in sales gives him a unique understanding of market trends and client needs. In 2021, Isabel obtained her NASCLA General Contractor’s license, enabling them to take complete control of their projects.

Together, they build new homes and manage large renovations in the Raleigh and Wilmington areas. Moss Construction & Design has a team of six employees, focusing on delivering high-quality work, thoughtful design layouts, and seamless client communication. They use construction management programs to keep clients informed with photo updates and timelines, ensuring a stress-free experience.
